This was my attempt to clone Yellow Rose from Lone Pint Brewery. Brewed on 9/26/15. My original recipe used 14 lbs of Pilsner malt, but I hit 80% efficiency and OG was way too high - 1.082. However, the beer still turned out incredible. All the late hop additions gave this beer a juicy, fruity, luscious Mosaic hop aroma and flavor. Bitterness was low and surprisingly the high alcohol was masked and quite smooth. Beer was dangerously easy drinking. Only change I will make next time I brew is to reduce the malt to 12.5-13 pounds.

HI TxBigHops, I just have a doubt about your recipe, if you could help would be great. (I am a beginner).
What did you mean with: "2 oz Mosaic Pellet 12.8 Whirlpool at 170 °F 20 min" ?

Thank you

Mirandax, no worries. To do a whirlpool, right after the end of the boil, you bring the temperature of the brew in your kettle down to around 170-180 degrees. Then you add the 2 oz of Mosaic hops and gently stir the beer, or if you use a pump, just let it circulate. But don't stir really fast because you don't want to aerate the beer while it's still this warm. Whirlpool for around 15-20 minutes, then go back to cooling the beer and putting into your fermenter.

Wow, thank you so much for replying!! Very helpful.
I just bought the ingredients today. I will try my first all grain beer. ( I made only two so far, partial mash).
Thank you again TxBigHops!

I added 1/2 lb of flaked wheat for head retention but otherwise this recipe has been great. Easy to swap with other hops as well.
