Target Water Profile
Bru'n water yellow dry
Notes
Brewed 8/15/15. Strike water was 170F and hit about 151F. Topped off with a quart of boiling water and then recirculated one gallon and hit about 152F. In kettle efficiency was 91% which is way higher than normal, measured it to be 1.058. Hop stand went a little longer than expected and cooling took a bit longer than normal as well. Ended up a little shy of my volume so I topped up with about a quart of water. Efficiency was higher than normal and I am not sure why that happened. Maybe it was the slow sparge. Pitching temp was a bit high so I iced it down to about 69F. 8/16 morning it was sitting at 68F. I chilled it throughout the day and it was sitting at about 68F by evening. 8/17 it was sitting at about 69F so I cooled it down. Evening it had risen a bit so I cooled it down to 65F. 8/18 through 8/20 temp was between 67 and 71F. Out of swamp 8/22. Biofined on 9/7, cold crashed on 9/8, and kegged on 9/9. Tapped it on 9/13 and it's a little green and harsh but it will get better and more blended together with age.
