Notes

Winner, best in show at 2016Q3 of the Carolina Quarterly Brew Off.

https://carolinaquarterlybrewoff.wordpress.com/winners/2016-2/quarter-3-2016/

The resulting beer shows here as too weak for style, but the 2015 BJCP guidelines include a variety distinction for "table strength" saisons of which this is an example.

After a few months in the fridge this has become absolutely delicious.

I was looking for an interesting beer sized for a 5 gallon kettle and this one looked good. This was my first all-grain. My efficiency was 80%, so I ended up with a much higher OG, 1.058. And a lower FG at 1.004! I think my mash temp was a bit low at about 153. Very dry, but tasty farmhouse ale with ABV of about 7% and after a month it is definitely getting better with time!

Thanks for the recipe!
