OG: 1.054
FG: 1.011

Upon first tasting, too bitter. Filtering left a real clean bitterness and cut some of the raw bitterness out of the beer. Reduce early hop additions. 1/2oz FWH would be just fine it seems.I
great aroma, color is a little light and body is lacking complexity. Add some Munich or honey malt.
Phenomenal beer over all, one of my favorites so far!

08JAN15: Malt bill and hop schedule revised to suit the previous statements. Munich 20L, Melanoidan, Carafa II and Chocolate added (1.5LBs, 1LB, .25, and 1 ounces respectively) First wort hop down to .5 ounce citra. 15 minute additions taken to 10 minutes.

BattleStations Lavender IPA Sesh V2

.5 Munich 10L and 1.5lb of honey added along with .35 ounces lavender at f/o. Tincture made 1 pint vodka with 2 ounces lemon peel, 1 oz tangerine peel.
Dry hopped with 1.5 oz cascade and 1.5 oz centennial for 7 days

FG 1.016 (American Ale I)
Split 10 gallon batch utilizing Wyeast American ale I and II for comparison.

American Ale II was the winner, widely accepted as a better taste profile. Too Much Lavender... Maybe .2 ounces...

-25APR15
Lavender IPA V2: 10+ gallon batch
used .30 oz lavender @ F/O
used 2oz tangerine & 2oz lemon peel @ 5 minutes
unknown amount of dry hop... Triple C dry hop

09OCT16 (Valley Center California)

Galina hops substituted for the citra (no citra was available). 3 tablespoons gypsum added to boil.
White labs American ale yeast used instead of wyeast. Used the additional grains mentioned in first paragraph
OG: 1.064
