Same exact beer as the Imperial Brown Ale except that when we brewed this version, we put the whirlpool hops in during the whirlpool. Last time we forgot and put them in right after KO.

Brewed this beer on our 1BBL pilot unit at New Magnolia Brewing in Houston, TX. This beer was a collab with one of the gentlemen at the forefront of getting the American Brown Ale its own category, Scott Birdwell. This is an amped up version of that beer style within the same vein of Dogfish Head India Brown Ale. We took a Wee Heavy, WCIPA, and a Brown Ale recipe and mashed them up. Tons of rich, caramel, malty flavor with a touch of sweetness. Other than fuggles pulled from the Wee Heavy, the recipe leans on the some of the trad WCIPA "C's", Cascade, Centennial, and Citra and its apparent as pine, citrus marry up very well with the malts. The complex flavor profile evolves along the pallet with medium to long finish. Bitterness is noticeable, but not in your face and pleasant. 4.5 out of 5 stars. (not sure why the pic is sideways, but at some point, all beers are)
