Notes
Named after the song FUG by the UK funk band Cymande, and because it uses lots of Fuggles hops.
Shepherds Delight added for ONLY the last 7 minutes of the mash. This adds a lot of colour to the wort.
OG: 1.048 FG: 1.014 Cold crash then gelatin clearing.
Result: A very genuine Yorkshire Bitter.
This time I pitched WAY TOO MUCH yeast> The airlock got blocked and the pressure buildup blew the screw on top of the primary fermenter off. Fug all over the inside of the fridge. Fuggerty Fug Fug Fug!
FUG is such a good beer that I keep coming back to it and playing with the recipe. The cumin seed adds character. I add the whole seed to the grain while milling.
