Notes
Our Trippel with Elderflowers from Dec 2021 used 0.6oz/gal in secondary (i.e. vodka soak that resulted in 43oz/72gal)
So since we're using fresh Elderflowers from the mountain, we've opted to go for double. (similar to how wet hopped IPAs work), the raw product is going to be much heavier and therefore less potent. So we're going to aim for 102oz/85gal. We may not be able to find that much Elderflower. So we'll do our best and get as much as we can.
It will be added in the boil at flameout. We'll add the flowers and then let them soak in the wort for at lease 10mins. If we can we will also soak the flowers in vodka to help with the breakdown and extraction.
Potential Rates:
0.6oz/gal= 51oz/85gal
0.8oz/gal= 68oz/85gal
1.0oz/gal= 85oz/85gal
1.2oz/gal= 102oz/85gal
