2 gallons strike at 135 plus 2 pints cool water for initial mash at 117 for 20. min. 2.5 gallons at 200 for 40 min mash at 154. Total of 11 gallons h2o in hot resulted in 7.5 gallons pre-boil volume.
Vorlauf, mash out, and sparse took an hour.
Ingredients added at indicated times.
Temp dropped to 68 and then put in freezer set at 57 degrees, along with yeast packet. Yeast pitched next morning and work aerated with oxygen.
Came in low, 1.040.
