Leave boil hops in during the entire cooling phase, then add hopstand addition at 165F
Dry hop around 1.030 mark
Brewday:
Added about 5.5 gal (maybe a little over)
mashed in at 181- added both brew basket and the grains when it hit 181
60 min mash with no power on until and reset temp to 156, constantly stirring with mash paddle and pump on
after draining- line was at 5 gal meaning its less than 5 gal
only did 14 min boil- added hops at 10 then hopstand addition at 165
(tough to get hop spider past the wort chiller)
Dry hop was day 3- only did 2oz of bru-1
FG: 1.032 corrected to 1.020- 4.34%
closed transfer to keg
Next Brew:
-only 10 min boil
-60+ min mash (lot of water will be lost to the grains)
-add 1/2lb of rice hulls
