Notes
I found this recipe on reddit though Midwest now has it in a kit, I used the recipe from Reddit.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Homebrewing/comments/zr19a6/kentucky_common_recipe/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
So I was also wondering about the hops schedule, and I was going to do 0.3 ounces at 30 minutes rather than the 0.2 ounces at 30 minutes and 0.1 ounces at 20 minutes, but here is what Brewer's Friend Calculated for the two separate hop additions.
30 minute - IBUs: 4.06 Utilization: 19.6% AAUs: 1.5
20 minute - IBUs: 1.6 Utilization: 15.5% AAUs: 0.8
If I change it to 0.3 ounces at 30 minutes I get the following:
30 minute - IBUs: 6.1 Utilization: 19.6% AAUs: 2.3
As you can see, combining the hop addition at 30 minutes increases the IBUs from 5.66 to 6.1. Not a huge difference, but it is a difference.
