Just brewed this. First few sips out of the keg were bitter -- not hoppy, but bitter. I had the beer in the fermenter for a little more than three weeks. Not sure if the bitterness is due to the spices. Per a Beer & Brewing article, I added the spices four days before I kegged. I'm hoping it mellows out with age because I was really pumped about the recipe. Fingers crossed!
