Notes
kept fermenting for about 12 days, temp may have been high, kept it in the house but heatwave kept it up at around 25c worried it might affect taste. Bottled day 14, tried a sample on 24, drinkable (i.e. I did not throw up!) but not marvelous, am now going to cold lager it for a couple of weeks to see if taste improves and clears.
lagered for 4 weeks, that did the trick, cleared up nicely and v pleasant. If this is what passes for real Kolsch the I can see why it is popular. Not likely to win awards it is light on flavour but a good session "lager" style to spend an afternoon with and put the world to rights
