Notes

First attempt at a triple IPA so who knows how it will go.

Will be pitched on top of a huge yeast cake from a previous brew.

The yeast choice is a bit weird, but it is a monster of a yeast, so if I have a huge cake of it and keep it nice and cold I think it will do well.

Inspired by https://www.experimentalbrew.com/recipes/old-school-triple-ipa but adjusted because I don't have any extract

Third dry hop is in the keg

Update:
Got third in the Merri Mashers 2022 IPA competition (double IPA category) so at least I'm heading in the right direction https://comps.merrimashers.org/Scoresheets/2022 IPA Competition Results.pdf

It was a lot of work but I think it paid off! Way too drinkable for how strong it is.
The yeast threw out a lot more fruit flavours than I expected, I used a heap of traditional hops but it tasted almost tropical.
Next time the only thing I might change is to use some hop extract to get some more bitterness in there with less mess. I might also try a clean yeast like WLP090 San Diego Super Ale Yeast so I can taste more of the classic hop flavour.

After the hops faded a little bit it was pretty clear that the main things I'll change for the next recipe will be:
- More bitterness (!)
- Less ABV (just a tad)
