Notes
This charity beer was a collaboration between Old Standby Brewing and Xicha Brewing in Salem, Oregon. Ingredients were donated by Yakima Valley Hops, Linc Malt, and Imperial Yeast and the proceeds benefitted 2 local charities.
15bbls were brewed at Xicha on February 9, 2022 and the beer was released on March 7, 2022 at Xicha Brewing on draft and in 16oz cans.
This is collab #1 out of 6 that Old Standby will be organizing in 2022 with proceeds benefitting various non-profit organizations.
Brewing notes:
40 minute extended boil time after flameout for whirlpool additions and rest before chilling and transfer to the fermenter. Pitch plenty of healthy yeast and raise the temp 2-3 degrees on the 3rd day of primary.
