Notes
This is an attempt to make a tasty Ordinary Bitter
Brew day was smooth. Had to swap in Flaked wheat for Oats as didn't realise that I had run out.
OG bang 1.039...allowing for temp with calculator.
Will ferm for three weeks at 18c and bottle.
Read that my crystal malt % might be a bit high. We will see.
OG turned out to be 1.042 after temp dropped to 20c.
FG ended up 1.014 after two weeks.
Bottled with 110g of tables sugar in warm water solution already in bottling bucket.
Used a syphon tube with filter at the end to ensure no trub entered the beer.
ABV calculator has suggested 3.68% so bang on for Ordinary Bitter.
