Noel brew 8/6/22 did re-iterated mash mash 5.65 sparge 4.51 = mash 7.65 and sparge 2.5 but then /2 3.75 mash (needed more so added .75 from sparge) left .5 G sparge on mash #1 end result 4.5 G meaning water lost was only .5 G using the 4.5G on round 2 with .75 spage would be only 5.25 before absorption if lose same .5 takes it to 4.75 . Want to start boil at 6.5 therefore need 1.75 G sparge Conclusion should do 2.5 G extra on mash and maybe .75 G sparge for each 2nd thought, I had it all wrong. Take full mash water and then I can use normal sparge water #'s as well. Dividing in half is same as doing full batch in terms thus why I need to always add more. Did Saaz hops AA 2.4 for full 75 min boil and Fuggle 4.6 for about 60. |
