Instructions for Cold Mash:
- 8 hours before boil prepare the Cold Mash with dark malts:
- Dark Malts (240g) + Water (1L @ 20 Celsius), mix up every 1hour.
- remove the grains (hopbag, filter, etc) , store the cold mash
- Add the cold mash 15 minutes before boil’s finish with the Fuggle hop.
Instructions for Cold Brew Extraction:
- Almost the same instruction described above.
- This recipe (10 L - Coffee Stout) calls for 50g of coffee + 250ml of water@20Celsius to be added in secondary, probably in the 4th or 5th day of the fermentation.
- Put 50g of ground coffee in 250ml of water and let it rest for 12h-18h. Use a coffee filter or a French press to filter and store in the refrigerator. Add this cold brew in the 4th or 5th day of the fermentation.
Expectativa usar 10 litros de mash water + 5 litros Sparge + 0.8 litro de extrato de cold mash nos 15 minutos finais. = 16 litros de agua.
