I have a simple system with water cooler mash ton.
Grind malt then mix in wheat and oats with 1/2# of rice hulls. Transfer 4 gallons of 168 water to the mash ton, stir in grain until well mixed. Let mash for one hour,then manually vorlauf until grain bed establishes and i have free flowing wort. Begin fly sparging or pulse sparging until i have reached my pre boil kettle volume.
Take a brix reading.
Bring wort to boil and add 1oz saaz hops
Set timer for 55 minutes then add crushed spices and immersion chiller.
Chill and transfer to fermenter, pitch yeast and install airlock.
