Notes
Goal: make a Belgian version of the Black is Beautiful base recipe - bend it toward style expectations of a Dark Strong ale (quadruple) without losing the basic character of the original
This is a work in progress - ABV could be lowered to 8%. Batch could be upped to 8gal and split - pitching half with a more neutral yeast.
Two step mashing... details TBD
American ingredients can be substituted, except for the yeast and the candi sugar...
...but maybe I want dextrose or caramelized sugar?
