Notes

Simmer the brown sugar in a small amount of water to reduce it down and darken it. Once desired color is reached add 4.0 quarts water and stir vigorously.

Next add the DME to the water stirring and breaking up clumps. Bring to a boil then add hops and boil for 30 minutes.

Cool wort solution and add to apple juice, pitch yeast and ferment at 68 F.

*** Actual SG at first brewing was 1.070
