Notes
I had an old recipe kit for Resilience IPA that was about 2 lbs short in grains, so I grabbed 2 1 gallon recipe kits from Brooklyn Brew Shop and stole the grains out of those, so beyond 9.6lbs of Pale 2-Row and 1.2lbs of Caramel C-60, the grain bill is a guess. The included vacuum packed whole leaf hops smelled awful, so I dug out a bag of Amarillo Pellets I received from the AHA in 2018.
Water is Fernley Tap, which is treated with chloramine, so I added 2 Campden tablets at the start of heating my strike water (8.5 gal approx); heat up to 154 took approx an hour; I did not let the strike water sit overnight as was recommended for the Campden tablets, as I'd read that it wasn't necessary. We'll see.
Yeast was purchased in March of 2020 and stored in the fridge; Use by date was Jul 2020.
