Notes

17 oct 2020

  • fucked up and forgot to put 5 kg of vienna/best ale malt in, so the color is LIGHT and this is now a session ipa!
  • mash gravity 1073, preboil grav 1044.
  • fg 1011. 5.1 abv. Promising from fermenter. Hoppy, some real dankness, light, bitterness good.
  • 1 nov. kegged 7 corneys, 5 in brewery 2 at home keggery, both at 12 psi.
  • 2-3 nov. Remainong beer into bottles then .5 tsp sugar added, bottle turned 1 time and into heated fridge and green box at 18-20 c.
TASTING: Bottle conditioned at about 4 weeks vs kegged. Carbotation, head retention, mouthfeel, aroma and flavour all very similar. Biut the look totally different. Bottle conditioned beer is clear and a copper color, kegged beer is orange yellow and really hazy. A very nice beer, balanced and drinkable, hopped well for nd drinkers, but for crafties needs more hop aroma and a bit more hop flavour.
