Notes
Shorter days and cooler months are extending our drinking arm towards luscious styles of substance, simplicity and layered diversity. These Qualities are found in this historic Export Stout recipe based on recipes from the archives of ye' old Barclay Perkins Brewery.
Note the simplicity of the grain bill - There is a symbiosis of the robust grains, single delightful resinous Fuggles and expressive English Ale Strain.
This Recipes develops aromas of Fresh espresso, bourbon steeped plums, liquorice and molasses. Flavours of burnt chocolate, classic roast malt flavour, touch of bonfire marshmallows. All supported earthy bitterness from the Fuggles.
