Target Water Profile
Tewksbury, MA, USA
Notes
Mash 152 degrees for 60 minutes.
Book suggested 90 minutes "Clone Brews" for Sierra Nevada Pale Ale which this is based off of, but I changed around the hops.
Brewed 9/20/20.
Target to ferment 7 days active, then either go secondary (or wait more).
Actually put in keg 10/4 (2 weeks in fermenter)
At calculated efficiency of 70%
OG target is 1.057 and 5 gallons.
Actual Pre boil grav: 1.040
Actual OG: 1.053
Actual yield in fermentor approx 4.5 gallons. (gravity would be 1.048 if 5 gallons was secured)
Calculated FG: 1.015
Actual FG: 1.006
My efficiency was 60%. Watch percentage and adjust water usage.
When transferring to keg, had good clarity , deep yellow / copper color. even uncarbed has a very floral and inviting aroma.
hope bitterness and flavor was present.
