The fresh hop flavor makes this beer. It has just enough of the "general" bitterness from the magnum hops and that are a nice backdrop to the fresh centennials picked the night before. The crystal malt is not too much and the malt stays nicely in the background but is not absent. I think I'll do this one again next year when the hops are ready.

FYI: I rarely make the OG that is estimated in these recipes. (I would say never but I did it once - not sure how). I just plan on being just shy of a full point lower. So adjusting for the tilt being out of calibration I was pretty much right where I wanted to be on this beer.

Oops I meant Cascades not Centennials.
