Notes
Place gran in Straining bag and add cold water. Raise temperature to about 150 F. Hold for 30 minutes... Adding heat if necessary. remove grain and place it in a colander. (Optional step) Wash grain with hot water (170 F). Bring wort to a boil and add DME and boiling hops per-hop protocol.
A total boil is 60 minutes. Chill, place in the fermenter, and add cool water to make 5 1/2 gallons. Take hydrometer reading. Pitch yeast. Aerate very well. Ferment at 65 F for 1 week then rack to a second. Bottle after 1 more week or when specific gravity falls below 1.010.
