Notes

This recipe uses a no-sparge mash, but sparging can be used to extract remaining sugars if the final volume after grain removal is less than the designed pre-boil volume. With the current grain bill, this should not be a problem.

Note: Korsta hops AA percentage is a guesstimate. Hops were dried whole/leaf and purchased from another brewer, so an exact AA value is not known. The value given above (8%) is a rough average from the information that can be found about the varietal. The beer is not supposed to be super-bitter (hence the use of the hops as a SMASH instead of bittering with, for example, Citra or Magnum.

Any light/mild ale yeast can be used but, as the weather is warming up right now in Scandinavia, using a Kveik strain like Voss fits both the theme and the environment.

The result should be a light and drinkable summer IPA.
