Notes

Water treated with HCl and H2SO4 to give 2:1 Chloride forwards water profile for mash. Sparge water not treated as not organised enough.

Version 2: Mashed 22l at 65C for 76 minutes due to dog walk.

Mash pH 5.3,

Sparged with 9 lt to give 24 l in the kettle.

7l lost to grain absorption. So think about 1.5l per kilogram loss.

Preboil gravity was 1044 @55C, corrects to 1055 @20C. Liquored back with 3l - probably should have used more!

Post boil and cool ended up with 23l at 1052.
