Had issues with flow and temp control. Stirred a lot. Realized when the controller is on "run" it doesn't control based on setpoint. |

Leaking outport. Reduced to a slow drip. Took several refractometer readings. Average seemed to be 1.050 but got one as high as 1.055.
Wort was leaking out of the whirlpool arm port. I need a cap for it. But this also means I am limited and can't do 10 gallons and whirlpool. |

Cloudy but kinda clear. Light brown almost Amber color. Noticed buildup on sides of the fermenter above beer level. Unsure what that is and why.
Has a sort of sharp "woody" smell. Can't place it. Taste like a Brown ale bit something seems off. Acidity? Not very sweet. Might need to try it with a cleaner pallet. |

50-100 mL sample
Cooling down to see how it taste at serving temperature. Tasted pretty well balanced. Good spice aroma and not too strong on ginger.
