Comparing against the real thing:
Aroma: real one is fuller in aroma, more malt and a little more hop presence. Mine compared matches with what I've been drinking so far, moderately malty. Real is much richer in hop and malt aroma. There's is rich caramel and malty aromas, mine is the same but restrained.
Mouthfeel is immediately apparent on real one, its med-full where as mine is very med.
Flavor on real is also much richer and malt focused but also very balanced. Mine is very similar but lacking that kick.
Overall they seem very similar but the percent less in mine seems to have made a big difference.
Very happy with how mine turns out, the keg will prob not last more than a fortnight, its just not as big a beer as the real AB. The AB is like mine but turned to up to 11. |
