- 12.5 lb @ 66.5 F + 5 gal @ 164 F = 164 F mash
- let water reach 168 F before transfer to tun
- added grain @ 163 F in cooler, dropped to ~ 154 F, stirred
- @ 151.7 F @ 60 min
- @ 151.0 F @ 45 min
- @ 150.5 F @ 31 min
- @ 149.5 F @ 29 min after stir
- @ ~150 F @ 0 min in center, read ~148 F before poking around
- Sparged with 4 gal @ 185 F -->
- stayed @ 164 F for 15 min sparge
- got 7 3/8 gal |
