Sample tastes good. Smokey with pleasant bitterness. Nice color. Yeast seems to have settled out nicely.
Added 1oz Willamette to secondary and racked on top of it. |

Approx SG read through foam.
Used 2 packets of dry yeast rehydrated and bloomed with a little wort prior to pitching.
Fermentation seemed vigorous. |

Added rehydrated yeast packet and 5 oz corn sugar dissolved and pasteurized in microwave.
Has been on dry hops for 4 weeks instead of original intended 2 weeks.
Tastes more hoppy than expected but still has nice roasted and chocolate flavors. |

Well carbonated with light brown head lasting a minute or so.
Slightly sweet but not overwhelmingly so.
Roasted aroma still there but could be more pronounced.
A bit of sourness coming with the roasted flavors.
Almost no bitterness.
Mouthfeel is a bit thick but not syrupy. Almost oily.
Thoughts for next time: more chocolate malt or similar. Better temperature control to make taste cleaner. Gravity seems about what I want. Maybe a bit more hops?
