Pitched ~150mL of slurry derived from previous batch of Smooth Stout, which was fermented with a fresh SmackPack of Wyeast 1332 Northwest Ale yeast. The slurry was harvested on 10/22/23. Prior to pitching, the refrigerated slurry was brought to room temperature, and it exhibited some activity as it warmed. |

FG sample looked and tasted good, with muted aroma.
Targeting 2.4 volumes CO2 at a temperature of 58F, used 1.6 ounces cane sugar boiled in 430 mL water to make priming solution. Filled 24 glass + 1 PET bottle with ~15mL priming solution. |
