Brew Dudes talked about this as an English IPA, so I punched in the ingredients, and it came up with 87 IBU and over 6.6% ABV. I thought this was a bit much for my tender palette so I cut the hops in half and dropped a pound of maris otter. The first time I had an IPA was near Kent, England in ‘94. My gosh it was delicious. I think it was entered as part of a brewing contest. I’ll never forget the experience. I hope this brew comes out almost just as good. |
