My water measurements were way off on this brew day. I added [maybe] a gallon of hot water to the mashtun to get my temperature up, then i didn't calculate that extra gallon into the rest of the brew day. I added half a gallon of my ice to the post-boil, and my OG was 1.05. Seemed higher than i wanted, so i added an additional quart of sanitized water into the fermentor bucket. Whacky and not ideal but i wanted this beer to be lower in alcohol so i had to do what i had to do. |
