WARNING: Kettle losses > 2% detected which throw off OG calculation for extract/partial mash recipes in batch target 'fermentor' mode. Solution: Reduce kettle losses, misc losses and hops absorption in equipment profile, OR set batch target to 'kettle' and do a full wort boil. See batch target FAQ.

Notes

The extract recipe I found called for steeping the oats, which I learned will not contribute to the fermentables. The best way I've found to account for this is by selecting late addition - boil kettle.

Results:
Color was great! Golden with a bit of haze, not dense. The color held weeks after fermentation.
I think I added too much lactic acid, ph was 4.1-4.2. Flavor was lacking something, maybe sodium or a steeping grain besides oats would help with the distilled water.
