Batch with Wyeast / London Ale III 1318 (Exp. Aug 2022) did not ferment...even at Day 4. Tried heating up wort with belt to 21C and no change.
In this batch, I added a pkg of Omega Yeast Labs / Tropical IPA OYL-200 (@ Day 4).
Fermentation profile for this batch is Yellow Pill |

Coastal Haze WPL-067 is very good with a bright sunny yellow colour and hazy all the way through the glass. Very fruity nose with pinapple/mango. The maltiness is perfect and all around full smooth mouth feel. The bitterness is good to balance it out but has a small bite in aftertaste. Wondering if next batch should avoid boiling hops all together???
The second batch was started with Wyeast expired London Ale III 1318 and never got going. I then added Omega Tropical IPA OYL-200 at Day4 and got the fermentation going. Appearance is the same except for a strong bitterness, which ressembles a DIPA. A bit too much for my taste. Don't know if this is due to 2 cycles of pitch yeast?? |

Bitterness has never diminished.
-Maybe the last 5 days is too much.
-Maybe 8oz of dry hopping is too much...usually 6oz per dbl batch.
-Maybe due to high AA of hops in dry hops (15+15+11) |
