Cold steeped one half sphere of loose leaf Earl grey in 2 cups of water for 24 hours. Boiled and cooled before adding to bottling bucket, along with 0.9oz corn sugar dissolved in 1/3 cup water. Taste tested boiled and unboiled cold steep tea side by side and the boiled had definitely lost a lot of the bergamot flavor/aroma. Maybe no boiling next time? |
