updating recipe after brew day. efficiency was awful, came out lower than expected on gravity and volume, but i think the beer will still be in range.
for future reference i split the boil into 2 for about an hour for a more vigorous boil. collected 6.5 gallons wort and it boiled down to less than 5. i had a lot of extra wort in the mash tun i couldve taken more, maybe up to 7 or 7.5 gallons and double boiled down to 5.5.

brew day! adjusting recipe for correct volumes. will collect 6.5 gallons wort and try to boil down to 5.5. it might take 2 hours. Also taking into account estimated low ass 55% efficiency - I will be beside myself if this doesnt work. knocks on wood

revisiting again. thinking about brewing this as opposed to Munich dunkel. reducing efficiency from 65 to 55, rounding off numbers....how long will this need to lager?

revisiting this recipe, boosting abv to top of the range, reducing efficiency and dialing in the IBU...

initial recipe formulation!
pretty much created this recipe exactly as described here : https://beerandbrewing.com/make-your-best-traditional-bock/
will need either 2 packs or a 2L starter. i think my starters are about 4 cups which is about 1L so will need a double starter.
ferment low at 45 for 4-5 days then slowly float up to 60, once activity stops bring to 70 for two weeks. then crash/lager. hes saying to package after cold crash then wait on it 6 weeks. prob could let it lager for several weeks then package.
also consider the fast lager method.
