change to hops - used 20g EKG at 60 min and 10g EKG at 15 min as they were open. Also started with about 33L - a bit over so a longer brew as finished at 28L SG |

A third of the Mash/Kettle Volume - 10L (assuming kettle marks are correct) has gone in grain and hop absorption (~2L), evaporation (~6L) and trub (~2L). This seems like a lot! Must calibration of kettle markings. |

Went in to a king keg with 100g sucrose, isinglass and 6g fuggles. the KK tap started leaking (I can see why the top taps are favoured!). First AId required, racked 19L to Corny Keg and filled ten 500ml bottles with remainder. Put back in warm room for a few days. Its a mild and in theory and according to tradition it should be clear and drinkable by 15th October! Octoberfest Keighley Style and will come in handy before heading off to the KWVR Beer Festival. |
