Stepped mash went well. Still trying to get true temp of mash compared to the recorded temp on the Robobrew. Looks like the top of mash is about 6C less than the recorded (bottom) temp. |

Transferred wort to plastic fermenter. Brought this back to Perth and then transferred to the new Grainfather fermenter and glycol chiller. Finished set up about 6pm. Cooled to 9C about 8pm then added yeast |

Just noticing action in the air lock so this has taken about 48 hours to start but given the low temp not something I am worried about. Lets hope it all goes well from here.
Glycol chiller working well so far. |

Glycol chiller seems to have stopped overnight an temp ramped up to 17C. restarted the unit and now cooling down. Will probably shock the yeast a bit as they were starting to really work on the sugar at the higher temp. |

Easy drinking - probably a bit sweeter than ideal because it did not attentuate as much as predicted but still easy to drink. |
