This was a nice beer; malty with smooth toasty notes and hints of chocolate and coffee. However, it was also a lot heavier than the style I'm targeting (something like Kostritzer) and ended up being more like a thin stout than a black lager. I will need to experiment with perhaps cold steeping the darker grains and a yeast that will give a more lager-like profile like Lutra |
