Wort didn't clear right up stayed a bit cloudy.
Sparge went well nice and even.
Wort smelt like honey before I added the dark malt. |

Left cool in kettle overnight.
Temp on transfer read 26 in the chamber.
Wort tasted good not super clear had a nice malty taste but could taste some bitterness.
Pitched yeast this morn temp was 17c.
Set ferm temp at 12c. |

Sample had a slight whiff of sulphur hmmm not what I was expecting.
Tasted slightly sweet tick but I'm sure I detected some roast.
It didn't taste super clean either.
But it's got some time to clean up.
It got cold crashed to 4c atm will leave a couple of days and transfer. |

Beer has brightened nicely lively deep Amber colour. Looks rich. Aroma is nobel hop clean and malty. Flavour nice clean caramel malt sweetness but now after a month or so it has ballanced out.
This one needs some lagering.
Changes maybe up ibu a tad like 5. And or increase sulphates-step mash if didn't.
Drop caramunich 2 next run in place of above And see if I prefer this. |
