Grain steeping was done with too much water, resulting in slightly higher ABV and what I believe to be lower variety of flavor. Beer is very orange flavored, and required a fair amount of carbonation. The more chemical orange flavors died off after a few days.
Beer would benefit from proper grain/water ratio on next brew.
Will also be looking at converting it to an all-grain to utilize the new 10.5 Foundry.
Overall tastes of an extremely light bodied ale with strong orange flavoring, bordering on creamy. |
