pitched 500ml bottle of harvested verdant yeast. Pitched at 18.5 degrees and fermentation started pretty much straight away. Heat belt doesnt seem to be working, might have to swap it for the other one |

Roused hops with co2 then dumped yeast/hops out the bottom valve, purged again with co2 through racking valve. Smelling and tasting great, slight hop burn which should dissapear once the hops have settled out |

Racking valve was passing so decided to keg a bit early. Forge carbed and rocked at 30psi. Tastes quite good but very green with hop bite which should drop out. Not sure if there is some oxidation or if it is the munich malt flavour which i have tasted in other pale ales with munich malt. |

Lots of hop flavour and aroma. Still has a grassy and vegetal aftertaste. Also still has a stale malt or oxidised flavour in the aftertaste too. Its got a bit better now it has had time in the keg but I dont think the flaws will dissapear. Maybe they are due to rousing the hops which could hqve increased polyphenols and introduced oxygen |
