First draw from keg after 7 days.
Tasted lager like, but a little under-carbed at this point.
No bitterness but detectable hop presence. My wife was first sampler and she was used to Mill ST Organic. She enjoyed this first tasting and I look forward to next after a couple days of increased pressure of 10 PSI, 2 over initial.
What worked well was at 8 PSI, 6 feet of 3/16 tubing and a picnic tap, the pour was just right. Keg was in mini fridge and pour was 3 to 4 feet above it. If 10 psi gives better carb then I may have to increase line length, or raise height of our pours.
Color was light, I'd say in line with the recipe. Clarity not perfect but should improve over next few weeks. May consider fining but not sure of benefit to quality other than appearance.
At 9 days, head improved as yesterday pressure set to 12 psi, per found recommendations to compensate for ligtness

Carbonation improved with setting at about 11 psi. Will leave as is for now.
Taste was fuller now with the higher carbonation. Very thirst quenching, still no bitterness and fruity, pineapple aftertaste. |
