Girls helped me brew this one. They did really well!
Steeped hops in muslin bag for ~20 minutes. Started at 180F and finished ~160F. Not much material left in the bag after the steep. Cooled to ~100F before running off into fermenter brew bucket. |

Checked on bucket this morning because gravity readings have been a little funny. Noticed some krausen on the bottom stem of the airlock so I shined a light through the top and the krausen is touching the lid! Making the airlock not really bubble well. Has been smelling amazing. Hope it's not a mess when I get home. |

Soft crashed it to 15C.
1 oz Citra LupuLN2 (Cryo) (Lupulin Pellet)
1 oz Simcoe LupuLN2 (Cryo) (Lupulin Pellet)
Put in muslin bag that soaked in StarSan. Beer still had a pretty thick krausen yeast layer on top. Broke it up a little with the bag. Samples taste pretty good. Pretty sweet, but actually very juicy and hoppy. Very cloudy and a little dark. Gravity seems way too high, but who knows. It might work out. Might as well go ahead and try it. |

Taste was really good. Sweet but very juicy hoppiness. Just the slightest hop burn occasionally on the back of the throat. Real nice orange/apricot/pineapple thing going on. |

Cleaned Keg 2 and line with PBW and StarSan. Previously Dunelweizen (dumped about a quart or 2). Transferred to keg, probably about a pint or 2 that wouldn't fit and had to be left in fermenter. Flushed sanitized line with new beer and left that in the line instead of StarSan. Purged keg at 40 psi >5 times (girls liked to pull the release valve). Left at 40 psi for ~30 hours or so. |
