Hard work makes good beer. I focus on a lot of details others may find silly, but for me it's about a deeper understanding and appreciation for the individual steps in the process that lead to the end result. Yeah, I'm a nerd.
Whenever I design a new recipe, I try to think about how the beer would stack up to my favorite examples of the style and, ultimately, what would set it apart. I enjoy "tricking people" into drinking styles outside of their comfort zone, pushing style guidelines, and experimenting with new brewing technologies/methods.
