Note to self:
Add 1.75 GAL for overall waste. (eg. 4.5GAL in fermenter, boil should be 6.25GAL 4.5+1.75=6.25)
5%ABV @ 80%Efficiency
3.75 efficiency change per % below 5%
Add .33 per 1% over 5% (ie. 6% ~ 3.75+.33=4.08 = {75.9%})
4.62 @ 7.6% [SEE BELOW]
3.85 change per 1%ABV above 5%ABV according to Juice Drips
2022-1121 - 4 change per 1%ABV over 5%.
CALCULATING AND ADJUSTING POST BOIL pH:
X * 30.262 *pH / 11.04
X = Total weight of grain in kg
30.262 = protons required to move wort made with 1 kg of malt to 1.0 pH
pH is the current pH - desired pH
11.04 = Strength of lactic acid 88% at 5.2pH, this is also constant
Example:
6.12kg of grain
Post boil pH - 5.16
Desired pH - 5.1
6.12 * 30.262(5.16-5.1) / 11.04 = 1.01mL of Lactic Acid
