I bought my Dad a beer kit for Father's Day about three years ago and it all took off from there. My Dad and I do almost all of our brewing together and we love making all types of beer. We love designing new beer recipes and making kinds we have never tried. Someday we hope to have a formal premises and make a business out of it. we can dream right!
Dad is a Pale Ale nut and has been refining his Pale Ale Recipe for a year now. I think it's just about perfect. I on the other hand love the blackest of black stouts and porters, and the hoppiest beers I can find. Eventually I want to refine my Black IPA recipe and try to win some awards with it. Again.. I can Dream right!!
My personal Flagship ale is a Black IPA I call "Black Dog". To some extent this ale isn't perfected yet, I'm on the third generation of it and am continuing to tweak the recipe until it's just right. I've liked it every time I've made but I still think I can make it better.
